Dr. Timothy Kitui Wanyonyi is a Kenyan scholar, cultural diplomacy practitioner, international relations researcher, award-winning gospel musician, Litungu instrumentalist, operations management professional, and Christian minister whose work bridges diplomacy, scholarship, culture, music, leadership, and faith.
His academic and research interests center on cultural diplomacy, international relations, inter-state trust building, soft power, cultural exchange, peacebuilding, and people-to-people diplomacy. His doctoral research examines cultural diplomacy and inter-state trust building between Kenya and the United States, exploring how educational exchanges, arts and culture, media, diaspora engagement, institutional partnerships, and other forms of cultural interaction contribute to bilateral relations and international cooperation.
Dr. Kitui has extensive experience in higher education and professional training, including serving as a lecturer and examiner in Research Methods, Public Relations, and Communication at The Kenya Methodist University and The Kenya Institute of Management. His academic experience complements a broader professional background encompassing educational administration, management consulting, project management, communication, public speaking, operations, logistics, and organizational leadership.
In the United States, Dr. Kitui expanded his professional career into the live events and experiential industry, serving in Asset Management at Concert Stuff Group before progressing into operations leadership at Element Experiential. His professional experience encompasses asset management, warehouse and inventory operations, logistics coordination, operational planning, equipment accountability, and support for complex experiential productions and events.
